Horticultural Toolkits

The project increases gardeners’ access to practical horticultural tools required for garden and pest management. Toolkits are provided to 200 participating gardeners, supporting them to put their newly acquired knowledge and skills into practice.
Expected Impact
By combining knowledge, practical skills, and access to appropriate tools, the project aims to enable gardeners to manage tree pests more effectively, improve tree health and agricultural production, and ultimately increase the quality and volume of their horticultural products and potential income.
Key Targets
200 gardeners trained in improved tree-pest management practices.
200 gardeners provided with horticultural pest-management toolkits.
Increased awareness and practical knowledge of tree-pest management.
Improved capacity of gardeners to protect their trees and gardens.
Contribution to improved agricultural production and livelihoods.
The project also provides GCDO with an opportunity to strengthen its technical expertise, project-management capacity, community engagement, stakeholder relationships, and experience in implementing practical agriculture-focused interventions.

Capacity Building and Training

GCDO provides awareness-raising and capacity-building training on modern methods and techniques for identifying, managing, and eliminating tree pests. A total of 200 gardeners from Enjil District are targeted for training.
